  2. The ground floor accommodates Book Circulation Section, Newspapers, Magazines and Reprography / Photocopy

  4. The second floor accommodates current Journals and Reference books
  5. Equipped with modern infrastructure, with a reading capacity for 500 users.
  6. Collection above 61,454 volumes.

WORKING HOURS

  2. Circulation hours --> 09 : 00 AM to 06 : 00 PM
  3. Book Return hours --> 09 : 00 AM to 06 : 00 PM
  4. Book Issue hours --> 09 : 00 AM to 06 : 00 PM
  5. Reference hours --> 08 : 00 AM to 08 : 00 PM
  6. On 2nd Saturdays --> 09 : 00 AM to 05 : 00 PM
  7. On Sundays --> 09.00 AM to 1.00 PM
  8. It remains closed on all Holidays as notified in the gazette.

CIRCULATION


REFERENCE

  1. Reference section with 12,129 books
  2. To refer/use these resources , one has to deposit his / her Identity card
  3. All the Current Journals are displayed in this section.
  4. An exclusive E-Learning Resource Centre with 30 Multimedia stations/Terminals
  5. Open till 8:00 PM from Monday to Saturday
  6. On all Second Saturdays, it is open from 9.00 AM to 05:00 PM only
  7. On all Sundays, it is open from 9.00 AM to 01:00 PM only

PERIODICAL

  1. Subscribes to more than 156 Indian Journals & Magazines
  2. Provides access to 7800 + E-Journals
  3. Provides access to 31,35,000+ E-books.
  4. Current Journals are displayed in the Reference section i.e. the second floor of the Library Building.
  5. Back volumes of Periodicals are displayed in the Circulation section.

STACK MAINTENANCE

   The Library follows an open access system. Students are free to browse through the collections and select required books. A dept-wise arrangement of books in library is done by following Dewey decimal classification. The minimum pure notation assigned to the subject is in 3 digits.

MEMBERSHIP


  1. All Bonafide Students and Staff members of LBRCE are eligible for membership to avail the services of Central Library.
  2. Application for membership should be made on the prescribed form which is available at the Library's Circulation Section.
  3. All the registered members are called the users of Library.
  4. The Library is primarily for the use of Faculty, Research Scholars, Students, and Non-Teaching employees of the Institute.
  5. On special request, outsiders (Students, Faculty, Research scholars of other Colleges) are also permitted for a shorter period for research with written permission from the Director on the basis of a letter from the concerned Department / Institute.
  6. The privilege of borrowing books from the library is restricted to LBRCE Staff & Students only
  7. An overdue charge is payable for returning books/Materials after the due date.

RULES & REGULATIONS


  1. SILENCE & CLEANLINESS must be strictly maintained in & around the Central Library.
  2. After obtaining Identity card, all students are advised to apply for the Library Membership in a prescribed application form, which is available at library circulation section.
  3. All UG / PG Students are eligible to borrow books/materails. UG students can borrow 4 (Four) Books and PG students get a maximum 6 (Six) Books from the Circulation section for a maximum period of 14 (FOURTEEN) Days.
  4. All students / staff must clear their dues to obtain a NO DUE Certificate from the Central Library.
  5. While borrowing books, the user is advised to check and ensure that the books are in proper condition. If any Page(s) are found MISSING or DAMAGED,the same to be informed to the Library staff on Duty / LIBRARIAN.
  6. The students should get the borrowed books CHECKED OUT and must cooperate with the staff member at the EXIT GATE.
  7. Avoid making Pencil / Pen marks, underlining, or any other type of damage to the books. If any such things are noticed at the time of returning the books, the borrower will be held RESPONSIBLE.
  8. In case, a book is lost/ damaged, the borrower has to REPLACE with the LATEST EDITION of the lost / damaged book. If the book is not available, the borrower has to pay twice the COST as per the Library rules along with the overdue charges, if any.
  9. Borrowers must RETURN books ON or BEFORE the Due Date. The defaulters will be fined one rupee for each book per day after the expiry of the due date.
  10. Book Bank facility is available for SC, ST students. Students belonging to the above groups can make use of these Banks.
  11. Books from the Book Bank will be issued only at the beginning of a semester and the same will have to be returned at the end of the semester.
  12. REFERENCE BOOKS & CURRENT JOURNALS are NOT for ISSUE, and they should be referred within the Central Library only.
  13. Students must follow the Notice Board of the Central Library regularly for updates.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Cell Phones are NOT allowed into the central Library
  2. Students are not allowed into the Library without the Institute's ID card
  3. Library Books are issued through Barcode. Hence, all students must produce ID cards with Barcode for all Library Transactions.
  4. No Transaction will be done without student ID Card.
  5. Students are advised NOT to exchange the ID Cards and Borrower tickets.
  6. Students are advised NOT to borrow more than one copy of the same Title
  7. Library Online Catalogue can be searched through OPAC
  8. Institute provides access to E-Journals / E-Books. For access procedure, please contact the Library Staff / Librarian.

NOTICES


Attention : First Year Students of B.Tech, MBA, MCA & M.Tech.
  1. All the FIRST Year students are informed to approach the Library Circulation Section for Library Membership after obtaining Identity Card from the office.
  2. Each student is eligible to Borrow / Loan Four books (4) for UG students Six books (6) for PG Students from the Library for a period of a maximum 14 Days.
  3. For further clarification, please contact the Librarian.

All Final Year outgoing students are informed to refer to the following procedure to obtain Library No Due certificate :
  1. All Borrowed Books ( incl. book bank ) to be returned to the Central Library
  2. Lost Books to be replaced with new copy of the latest edition along with the overdue charges, if any.
  3. All the library dues (Library Fines ) to be cleared.
  4. All the Library borrower tickets to be returned to the Central Library.
