About AICTE IDEA LAB

The AICTE IDEA (Idea Development, Evaluation & Application) Lab is an initiative by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to foster innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship among students in technical institutions across India. The program aims to create a culture of innovation and problem-solving by providing students with the resources, mentorship, and infrastructure needed to develop and implement their ideas.

   AICTE-IDEA LAB has been aiming to transform education imparted in the institution to promote multidisciplinary education, innovation and research takes place. IDEA LAB creates the platform for innovation and research to students and faculty with hands-on experience with the latest equipment in order to develop new projects and offer live internships with the industry support. AICTE-IDEA (Idea Development, Evaluation & Application) Lab in its approved institutions for encouraging students for application of Science, Technologies, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fundamentals towards enhanced hands-on experience and learning by doing.

   LBRCE will act as host institute to extend mentoring and IDEA LAB facilities to surrounding colleges and schools in our region. As our college located in rural area, it is possible to identify and address the societal problems and challenges in rural areas and also possibility of finding solutions through IDEA LAB to fulfil the concept of “Atmanirbhar Bharat”. IDEA LAB creates the ecosystem for transforming ideation to Prototype or Product. IDEA LAB creates the platform for innovation and research to students and faculty with hands-on experience with the latest equipment to in order to develop new projects and offer live internships with the industry support.

   Networking with nearby colleges and Industry and to make best use of this resource and share best practices on enhancing employability skills training like Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), Block chain Technology, Robotics, Drones, Underwater Vehicle, Quantum Computing, Data Science, Cyber Security, 3D Printing & Design, Augmented Reality (AR)/ Virtual Reality (VR) etc.,

   By involving faculty and students from different departments of LBRCE and people from other surrounding institutes to promote Multidisciplinary education, innovation and research takes place through IDEA Lab to work independently on a common problem.

To establish the Institute's Idea Lab as a hub for interdisciplinary collaboration, innovation, and social impact.

To provide a supportive ecosystem for idea generation, experimentation, and prototyping, bridging the gap between imagination and implementation

Monitoring:

All IDEA Labs are part of the IDEA Lab Network and are periodically monitored by AICTE based on standardized performance parameters.
